Michael Gonzales

Michael is the Chief Operating Officer for FIG and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining FIG, Michael worked at J.P. Morgan for over 17 years in both New York and San Francisco as a trader and lead structurer for the Municipal Derivatives Business. Outside of his trading role, Michael also served as CFO/Controller for the American Rates Derivatives business, on the Macro Trading Capital & Funding Committee, as Diversity Lead of Global Rates Trading, and as Co-Chair of the Sales & Trading Summer Analysts program. Michael began his career at KPMG LLP, and was both a senior accountant in audit, and a manager in Transaction Structuring Services.

Michael graduated from the University of Southern California (School of Accounting). He is a CPA (inactive) and was previously registered with FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations. Personally, Michael loves to play golf, attend USC football games, travel, and hike in scenic places with his family.
